Our successful team member should be able to handle the following tasks:
- Prepare and review federal, state and local tax returns including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990 and 1041. (250+ tax returns per year)
- Resolve tax notices
- Be current in new tax laws associated with TCJA, CARES Act
- Have the ability to identify tax-saving strategies to maximize client tax efficiency and to guide clients in their implementation
- Be knowledgeable about more complex tax planning strategies, retirement planning options
- Have the ability to think outside the box, ask questions and counsel clients
- Review financial statements for accuracy and to identify tax planning opportunities
- Have strong interpersonal skills and a proficiency in managing client relationships
- Work Independently and establish priorities for tasks to be completed
- Have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
To be the best you can be and for you to have unlimited earning potential you will need the following qualifications:
- 3+ years in public accounting with a concentration in tax
- High level of comfort using technology to create efficiencies in workflow
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Comfort in working with QuickBooks Online
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
- Current CPA candidate or EA license is a plus
- Experience using UltraTax is preferred
