Senior Tax Advisor – Proactive Strategist

We’re looking for a Senior Tax Advisor who shares our belief that business should be treated as an investment—and that tax planning should be proactive, not reactive. If you can turn a tax return into a blueprint for growth, we want to talk to you.

Your Role at B.A.A.P.

Strategic Tax Advisory & Review

Review and prepare complex Federal, State, and local tax returns (1120S, 1120, 1065, 1040) at a senior and partner level
Use our proprietary Actionable Principles framework to spot and implement opportunities in real time
Align tax strategy with each client’s long-term business and personal goals
Translate tax data into forward-thinking insights for small business owners

Leadership & Execution

Oversee preparation and review of returns, stepping in when needed for high-complexity work
Guide, mentor, and supervise junior staff, including both local and outsourced team members
Manage workflow and client relationships with professionalism and ownership
Resolve IRS and state tax notices with a strategic, client-first approach

Client-Focused Innovation

Build deep, trust-based relationships with small business owners and stakeholders
Communicate the benefits and ROI of various tax strategies in clear, actionable language
Leverage AI and analytical tools to enhance the planning process and client service delivery
Stay current with the latest tax laws, planning tactics, and tech-driven solutions

Who You Are

CPA, EA, or CPA-eligible with 5+ years of experience in tax-focused public accounting
Confident advisor comfortable speaking at a boardroom level with business owners
Strategic thinker who sees each return as a planning opportunity
Technologically savvy—comfortable using AI, workflow tools, and analytical platforms
Able to thrive in a hybrid, remote, or in-person environment with a high degree of autonomy
